This place is amazing every time I go there. I love the atmosphere and the staff. The speakeasy downstairs is such a cool spot and I also love sitting in the gazebo after dinner with a glass of wine.
There is only one complaint I have and that is that I called multiple times to try to book a small function (rehearsal dinner) there for October. I have left about 5 messages now and sent 3 emails over the last 1.5 months and I still have yet to hear anything back... -

I believe I'm a tough critic but in one word... INCREDIBLE!!!!! Jedediah Hawkins was more than I expected. The venue is interesting & if you plan to dine here, do the research about it. We waited at the bar. Small, busy, yet served on in reasonable time frame.Friendly patrons so that was a positive as well.
The meal.. WOW!! Normally I don't eat bread prior to the meal. Don't PASS THIS UP!!! I assume it's baked on premises. It is served warm, is crusty on the outside & moist & delicious on the inside. The butter was beyond any adjectives I own. The server pointed out sea salt on the table to add. I did. My wife was teasing me because I was making audible sounds of ecstasy. I also I had an arugula & beet salad. Good. My entree was halibut. A plentiful portion served with a corn confit. Remarkable. We passed on dessert because we were completely satisfied & could eat no more. I did, however , spy a few on other tables & they looked great. -

Food was very good but I'm giving it 4 stars because the $45.00 steak was a little grizzly on he ends. I generally don't order steak but this was a special occasion. Everything else was great! The service was excellent and the place is very pretty.

This was our second time dining here and they did not disappoint. We were able to dine on the patio on a beautiful August evening, perfect setting. The service was excellent. All in the group were extremely happy with their choices. I had the Coconut Shrimp appetizer which were a nice size and delicious and the Short Ribs with summer succotash was as tender as could be. While a little pricey, the overall dining experience makes it well worth.

This review is purely for the beauty of the downstairs and basement area of Inn, the outside, and the bar. My friends and I came here when we were visiting them out in Eastern Long Island. I had heard of the Inn before because of his haunted reputation so I was excited to come here.
The Inn itself is very lovely and beautiful. It is decorated in the Victorian fashion and probably stays pretty true to what it looked like historically. You can see that in the decor, furniture, and just general feeling of the Inn. They have done a very nice job taking advantage of the rich history with the building. The building is falling in disrepair in some spots and could use a little love, especially on the outside. Some parts of the porch are crumbling and need paint.
My friends and I got some drinks at the bar and took them while we walked around and took in the Inn. The wine list is small at the bar but they showcase some lovely wines from nearby vineyards. There are a few cocktails on the menu, which my husband got and didn't love. I think I would stick with the wine here unless they get a better mixologist.
We took our drinks and went down in the basement which has been kept pretty much as it was in the Victorian times. The walls are all stone and the floor is brick. The bartender pointed out the hallway which is speculated to have either been there for gun running or perhaps this was a stop on the Underground Railroad. The hallway used to go all the way out to the barn, but has since been filled in. After a bit, we took our drinks outside and sat on the porch. The view is really lovely and it was a great day to do this. As I mentioned before, the porch needs a little work on it. It was still a lovely experience.
The grounds are quite pretty. There is a lovely gazebo you can sit in and a barn where they hold events. It's really beautiful inside and would be a great spot to have a wedding or a party! I would love to come back and stay at the Inn sometime!
